Go go gravity!!

So today, my Gluten Free ale has been fermenting for 8 days and I decided to take a hydrometer reading. Everything seems to be going the right way so the gravity is looking good!

I have been taking advice from various lovely people on brewing forums and there seems to be a huge conflict of opinion when it comes to how long the initial ferment should last. Some say to move to secondary fermentation when the gravity reading stays the same for 3 days and others say to leave pale ale for at least 14 days irrespective of the gravity reading.
